In the South, where I am from, the fall color comes weeks later than in the North. We have beautiful red dogwood leaves, and red sumac, and goldenrod and flaming yellows. Not pomegranates, but persimmons which are very sour until the first frost when they become deliciously sweet! The cotton fields become very brown from the defoliate, and the soybean fields turn gold. Beautyberries and pokeberries are purple and there are purple asters. Pumpkins lie orange and plump in their fields. People plant gorgeous chrysanthemums in bronzes and golds and purples. All this is happening when the North has already gone through their glorious blazing fall (and except in the mountainous areas of the South, the North typically beats us for color) and are now facing snows and cold and sleet and discomfort. In the South, we rarely have snow (except in the mountains, of course) and our Winter is easier to bear. I love that you have a similar season. Neat that you have olives ripening during your fall, and I envy you being able to buy directly from the growers! Lovely post and great photos, Mersad!A Colorful Worldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06890388727784255219noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4382621378337855185.post-8536706627848739322014-10-29T17:22:30.250+01:002014-10-29T17:22:30.250+01:00What a great set of images, great colours.

Altho we didn't pickle any, we always enjoyed all the quail that would come in and dine on the fruit. Now, here in Texas about three or four years ago, I asked Bud to plant a pomegranate tree.
