Cooling off [Through My Lens Nr. 250]

The summer heat is getting to me, I must admit. We are officially in summer vacation, but there are no beaches in sight just yet. So in order to cool off, I have to make a few steps away from my house to the Neretva river. I met Selma and her dog Brauni there the other day. Underneath a pedestrian bridge there is a small shore where Brauni likes to jump into the river and swim. She has lots of fun there, and we have a chance to grab a coffee and catch up. Of course during the day there are no people here so it's very safe. How is summer treating you? I know things are very much different then they used to be. Did you have any plans for vacation that have changed because of the pandemic? I hope you are safe and sound, and I also hope that we will have our lives back soon.

Thank you all for joining me in another week of "Through My Lens". I am looking forward to your submissions this week. I hope you will have a good one!

  1. What a beautiful spot for the dog to have a swim and glad you caught up with your friend for a coffee and chat. I have just returned from seeing my daughter on the Isle of Wight, no problem. Thanks for hosting, stay safe and have a great week ahead

  3. WE canceled many planned trips, Mersad. That's life--never can tell what is in the stars.

  4. Mersad, Nice to have the water to cool off! Did you dip your toes in? You had shade at least. Thanks for sharing and have a great week. Sylvia D.

  5. I was meant to take my youngest to Paris Disney and then the whole family was meeting up in Spain and Italy....and Bluesfest at Easter was cancelled too - but given John Prine was meant to perform there, I don't think we can complain in comparison to what happened to him...I have gone from a million shows and concerts booked in advance to thinking I can only book something if it's next week...because, you know, it will probably get cancelled...

  7. The virus has certainly changed lives and vacations. We here in Western Australia are being encouraged to explore our own state, which many people are doing. In the south we are in winter so people head north to the sun. Enjoy summer! take care and thank you again for the link up.
