Goodbye 2020 [Through My Lens Nr. 272]

2020 has been a trying year in many ways. Now as it slowly rings out, we have to be ever more so hopeful for new and better things that 2021 has in store for us. There is of course the matter of public health and things going back to normal, but also knowing that what truly didn't kill us made us stronger. I hope that the pandemic will be a thing of the past real soon and that we get to connect with each other again. I also wish to escape the four walls of my home, travel far and see new things. Though I'm very thankful that I have a roof over my head and a head on my body still. The last work week of this year is upon us and and as we wind down for New Year's I hope that we all take a moment to reflect on everything that has happened, and what we have learned. I truly believe that hard times can be a way of transformation and rebirth. I want to leave this year with some images of a happy place I visited this year. I want to bask in the memory of this beach and picture it again, as a wish to see it again soon. Have a safe and happy New Year!

Thank you all for joining me in another week of "Through My Lens". I am looking forward to your submissions this week. I hope you will have a good one!

  1. I agree with all your writings today and although it was not a good year for most people, looking back there have been quite a lot of things that happened that were different but good and well worth keeping and some of the things that would NOT have happened had it not been for the lockdowns. I love all your photos Mersad and thanks for hosting, stay safe and have a HAPPY NEW YEAR.

  2. Our situation is that we have had four years of an inept, corrupt administration and that 1 in 1000 thousand people in the US are dead because of it. It will only get worse. ANd that does not gloss over this year for me. I can only hope that there will be consequences for those responsible. But I also hope that if most of the people will follow basic rules and be patient, by the time it's next Christmas life will be back to some kind of normal. Stay safe, and thanks for what you do.

  11. I love nature photography, I especially love how this blog by Mersad photography captured the most beautiful and calm pictures I have ever seen. I also follow photography as a passion and I can continue it now as after a referral from my cousin best essay writers review and how they have experts and professionals with them, who have everything to show for it with the grades they deliver. They were honestly the best choice I made when I was struggling with an essay and now I can relax, enjoy photography and nature
