I have shown you the Old Bridge in Mostar many times, though I have rarely ventured down to the shoreline of the river Neretva tha flows underneath. I recently had a chance to be under the Old Bridge as Selma's dog Brownie was playing at the shore, happily taking a bath in the cold Neretva. I made a few shots of the bridge and the surrounding shore. There were many people there but I tried to take the shots around them. Later on we made a walk through the old town. It was a perfect summer afternoon in Mostar.

Beautiful views. Loved the post.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice week ahead.
Friends of mine were in Mostar on Saturday--- They are loving their trip to Mostar, Split, Dubrovnik and lots of other spots we've seen in your pictures. They say that it was the first time they've heard the Call to Prayer for real. Much to see. And as always, your pictures are great.
ReplyDeleteThat's wonderful to hear Bill. I hope they had a great trip!
DeleteYour town is beautiful, Mersad!

ReplyDeletenice to see the bridge from beneath :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE the dog but you knew that. my favorite is the 2nd one, because of the reflections and round shape of the gorgeous green water. all are fantastic, as always
ReplyDeleteBrownie was fishing rocks out of the river the whole time :D
DeleteThat bridge is so stunning! And it looks like it draws the residents to it as a place of relaxation and fun! It was nice seeing them there...reminds me of the ay people are drawn to the Deschutes River here in Bend. But there is no stunning bridge above them!
ReplyDeleteIt is a place of connection and harmony for sure. The river underneath gives a lot of relaxation too.
DeleteI’m happy that Selma’s dog led you down to the river bank ....that bridge is beautiful from all viewpoints, but I would want to be at the shore too (Not swimming in that cold water though I know dogs love it!). Thanks for hosting.
ReplyDeleteI really REALLY love your photography! <3
ReplyDeleteStunning shots!
ReplyDeleteI liked your view of the town under the bridge and would have enjoyed strolling through the village. Have a fabulous week and thank you again for the link up.
ReplyDeleteWow, so beautiful. Thanks for sharing them.
ReplyDeleteImmer wieder schaue ich gerne deine Mostarbilder an.
ReplyDeleteLieber Mersad,
ReplyDeletedas sind, wie immer, sehr gute Bilder. Die Brücke wirkt aus dieser Perspektive noch interessanter.
Ich wünsche Dir einen schönen Mittwoch.
Viele liebe Grüße
Wolfgang
That is a lovely bridge! And your photos are stunning, as usual.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots. It's always hard to avoid people in the pictures in such bust places :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you for hosting.
I agree. It's the hardest thing, especially in Summer!
DeleteSuch a lovely bridge, river and village!
