July is here and with it the true start into summer. Since my dad's passing we haven't been that much to our mountain cottage, but the heat in the city is making this trip now, both nescessery and enjoyable. I do stop around to mow the lawn and keep everything in check. Nature here is very impressive, and summer days truly calming. In the midday the temperatures rise a bit, but as soon as the sun starts to set it gets fresh and in the evening even chilly. It's a great place to spent the weekend and stay even longer. Walks in nature are restorative and of course Beni loves to play here with his friend Div, the neighboors lab.

ReplyDeleteEnjoy your time up at the cabin. Since we retired in 2005 life is pretty much a vacation. Only the weather part changes. That last picture reminds me of driving into Yosemite along the river. - Margy
