I have always said that watching moody landscapes is very therapeutic. For me, seeing these tumultuous times in nature, in a weird way evokes calm. Maybe it's because you see that there are bigger things then you out there or simply the fact that those sights tend to be very interesting to look at, if not downright beautiful.
I never shy away from going out to shoot during stormy or bad weather. Most of my landscapes have an element of melancholy to them anyway, which is certainly underlined by the heavy clouds in the sky, winds rolling in or isolated places I get to photograph.
So anyway, here are 15 Moody Landscapes from Bosnia and Herzegovina, which I hope you will enjoy. For better reference I added numbers and titles to the images.

Real beautiful shots. Gives peace of mind to look at them. Well done.
ReplyDeleteThe black and whites and silhouettes are so nice and moody!
ReplyDeleteHello Mersad, gorgeous series of landscape shots.. They are lovely, it is too hard to choose a favorite, except I do tend to like the color more than B&W. Great post, enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteWOW! These are all wonderful. Now to answer your Question. In the distance lies he truth and ruins in the fog are 2 that draw you in. The one in the distance kies the truth could be somewhere in Ireland. I really like the sunset image.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your reply. It's interesting to read which ones are everybodies favorites.
DeleteAll of the sights draw me in. Just beautiful!
ReplyDelete13 is my most favorite, 2, 4 in that order come next. they are all beautiful and each one does have a different mood to it...
ReplyDeleteNice photos! I like shooting in less-than-ideal weather. I always get some interesting subjects.
ReplyDeleteI started to try to pick a favourite but that was futile. I love them all. A dark cloudy or even a foggy sky is just plain gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your lovely comment Ruth. So glad you enjoyed these.
DeleteI never get tired of photographing the mountains I live in. These are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteAs usual, all of your captures are superb, Mersad, but if I were to choose, they would be 5, 9, 10, and 13. Always a wonderful way to begin my day! And, as always, thank you for sharing the beauty! Hope you've had a great week!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fine collection of landscapes. You do capture many moods of light and sky. Beautifully done.
ReplyDeletehad a hard time getting all to load, but what i saw was beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThey loaded to me on various devices and two different connections quickly. The image size is not that big. Maybe it was something with your connection in a moment.
DeleteNumbers 2 and 10 are my favorites. I like black and white and the way the hill cures up in the image is attractive. I am always drawn to autumn color, especially since I live in a place now that does not get any.
ReplyDeleteI hope I get to Bosnia and Herzegovina someday to see these beautiful scenes for myself!
ReplyDeleteDeine Bilder sehen aus wie Gemälde! Supertoll und ein großartiges Licht! Du hast ein tolles Auge für die Landschaft! GlG Anne
ReplyDeleteDanke Anne! Freut mich das sie Dir gefallen!
DeleteSehr schöne Landschaften und Wolkenformationen hast du uns gezeigt. Danke dafür. Liebe Grüße
ReplyDeleteThe end of the day and all of them with ruins in them. :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed them Rita!
DeleteEspecially liked 2, 4, 6, and 13--- but all are very fine!
ReplyDeleteNe mogu odluciti kojami je najbolja; hvala na ovome!
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful photographs!
ReplyDeleteHi Mersad. They're all beautiful, but #13 drew me right in! LOVE it.
ReplyDelete#3 - Solitude is my favorite, followed by #2. Gorgeous scenes that have so much story in them.
ReplyDeleteThese are all wonderful. I'm drawn to #2.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos, Mersad!
ReplyDeleteThe mountains are simply gorgeous.
Thanks for sharing your photos with all of us.
Have a Beautiful Day!
Peace :)
I am always moved by your photos! And you can transform a not so good-looking setting to a wonderful work of art, i am so envious. When i was in New Zealand it was so disappointing to just look at the landscape inside a running bus, and can't even take a good shot of the changing landscape. I miss it much in seeing your photos. You should visit it too, you will get amazing shots there.
ReplyDeleteI would love to visit New Zealand and it's definitively on my bucket list.
DeleteA really beautiful set of photos as one would, of course, expect. I was in trigged, though, by the heading 'In the Distance Lies The Truth'. That's very thought provoking.
ReplyDeleteThe Title for that particular image was chosen deliberately, because the road leads into a small village that was destroyed in the war at the beginning of the 90s.
DeleteI liked all the pictures but when scrolling through them again I realised that it was No.2. that drew me in. Your part of the world is beautiful, whatever the weather,.
ReplyDeleteLook up the Hills is my favorite but they are all fantastic photographs.
ReplyDeleteJM, Illinois-U.S.A.
They are all lovely photos. I think I'm drawn most by #4.
ReplyDeleteOutstanding collection...kudos.. Tough to pick a favorite.
ReplyDeleteLindas fotos, nos da a oportunidade de conhecer um pouco de cada lugar.
ReplyDeleteThese are all wonderfully beautiful shots! Love them all!
ReplyDeleteAll the views are stunning Mersad! And especially I love those sunsetviews !
ReplyDeleteMersad-Thank you for sharing your wonderful shots...Abandoned and Fortress atop a hill are my favs♪ http://lauriekazmierczak.com/onomantopoeia/
ReplyDeleteGorgeous landscapes! I'm happy to get to know your country a little! I was drawn to number 7 the most but as said they were all gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteAbandoned and Moody Orchard are probably my favorites in this lovely series. You would have loved the light here about half an hour ago. We had lovely, bright golden light above us but very dark rain-filled clouds about half a mile away. The light lasted for perhaps fifteen minutes before a heavy rain began, but it was beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI love 'at the end of the day' the warm glow of the evening light is beautiful
ReplyDeleteA terrific post
ReplyDeleteI have enjoyed this picture story you shared with all of us. Very beautiful photography and I appreciate the share. Number 3 was my very favorite but all of these are wonderful. Thank you for this post and have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteThese are so really beautiful and do draw you in. There is something about the autumn photo... beautiful but a sign of the colder season to come and kind of bittersweet.....Michelle
ReplyDeleteGreat shots! I really like the black and white one.
