The Most Popular Posts of 2015

As the year is coming to an end, we all get reflective on it and try to compose what has happened and where we're moving to next. Last year I did a similar post. For this year I wanted to do the same thing and get a bit reflective. In this post I will showcase the most popular posts of 2015 on Mersad Donko Photography, sorted by month. I wanted to show what was the most popular and which posts got the best response.

With a little work I went through my Google Analytic and Blogger Statistics, and picked the most popular blog post in each month, for 2015. After reading this, I want you to tell me if this is an accurate representation of your own views on what should be popular, and maybe even tell me if some blog posts are missing from this list that you liked.

The Most Popular Posts of 2015

January 2015: 10 Places to Visit in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2015

January started out with what would turn out to be one of the most popular posts of the whole year. This overview of Bosnia and Herzegovina's best places to visit and explore, kept up in the "Popular posts" section of the blog throughout the whole year. I am really glad that it was so well received since I put a lot of work into it.

February 2015: The Krka National Park Waterfalls

These gorgeous waterfalls of the Krka National Park in Croatia were a highlight of our summer spent in Sibenik. The post was really popular and kept everybody's attention in the summer months, even though it was posted in February. I love the waterfalls here, the serenity of the park as well as the great photo opportunities that present themselves there.

My hometown Capljina proved to be the most popular destination in March. Capljina is not that far away from Mostar where I live now, and even though I visit often, until this post I never brought my camera with me. In the post I show you a stroll through the town as well as a delicious lunch we had there.

April 2015: The Secluded Forest [Part 3]

This three-part travel series ended with us standing in the deep woods of mountain Prenj. The nature here is absolutely fantastic (including many hidden sights). I loved visiting here, and was happy I had my camera with me.

May 2015: Visiting Prague - Jewish Quarter and the river Vltava

Our visit to Prague was very popular in May. And while the series had 5 parts, this one here, from the Jewish Quarter and river Vltava was the most viewed one. Prague is a beautiful city in Eastern Europe and one of the highlights of 2015. I highly recommend you catch up on the whole travel series if you want to see more.

June 2015: How to add Google Maps into Blogger Post

Even a tutorial mad the list this year. It was one of those posts that I really needed myself, so I thought: hey, why not share it with everybody else.

July 2015: Full Moon Rising - A Night in the Mountains

One of my personal favorite posts made the list as well. I love these landscape views in the mountains surrounding Mostar. The full moon kept calling me and I answered. I hope you enjoyed this post as much as I did taking the pictures.

August 2015: Through My Lens Nr. 3

The new photo meme "Through My Lens" started in August and the most viewed post was Nr. 3, even though the number of participants would grow over the months. I am so glad for all the positive response. I want this meme to be a place where photographers (both amateur and professional) can meet up and share their work.

September 2015: The Bosnia and Herzegovina Travel Guide

I often get mails and comments from potential tourists and visitors saying that they have seen an image on this blog or a post and they want to know where that is and how they can get there. And after answering I thought that I should do something to showcase these destinations in a better way. That's how this post was created.

October 2015: Plum Season is Back

Plum season is big here in South Europe and this post show our plum trees at the mountain cottage. This post was the most visited ones in October and also featured the "Through My Lens" link up.

November 2015: Our Road Trip to Yosemite National Park

Ah, our USA Road trip featured many top visited posts. The whole travel series featured 15 parts, which I posted throughout November and December. And two posts made the cut for the most visited ones. The most visited one in November was our road trip through the Yosemite National Park.

December 2015: How to Explore the Grand Canyon in One Day

We close of the year with our visit to the Grand Canyon. The USA Road trip series took a lot from me. I was editing through 2200 images, only 352 of which ended up on the blog. If you would like to see the complete set of our images from the USA visit my Facebook Page, where I posted a whole album!

Thank you so much for all your visits and for your continued support.

  15. Those are fine posts but all your posts are excellent. Google results can be thrown off by odd things so I don't know how accurate they are. Do they correspond with the number of comments on the posts?
