Let's return to summer for a moment. Last summer I stayed in this small island town Milna, in the island Hvar in Croatia. It's a quiet and picturesque place, right on the Adriatic Sea. Milna is situated 6 km away from the town of Hvar, in a protected cove with two sandy beaches, separated from each other by a pine forest. This place provides all opportunities for pleasant vacations. On the eastern slopes above the bay, there is a village of Malo Grablje. In the vicinity there are several beautiful and peaceful beaches and coves. You can literally find your own little hideout beach. In Milna there is a market and seven restaurants where you can eat and enjoy fresh fish, home grown vegetables, olive oil and domestic wine. Every day trips are arranged for islands around Hvar: Vis, Bisevo, Korcula, Mljet. I would love to visit again as this is an ideal vacation spot for those that seek peace and tranquility during the day, and nightlife and fun during the hot summer nights in the nearby town of Hvar.

ReplyDeleteIt's very pretty, I bet it gets busy in Summer.
ReplyDeleteI love the moon next to the arches - you should crop that shot down. And the red building with the lions looks imposing and magical!
ReplyDeleteAmazing place. Awesome photography.
ReplyDeleteHello! Nice photos! This is a fairly international crowd, I was wondering what countries "celebrate" St. Patricks Day, if any. In the US, it's an excuse to wear green and drink beer (if you are old enough), and mostly have something to look forward to in March. (Chicago even dyes the river green for a day, not sure if they did it this covid year). Do any of you know if other countries celebrate St Patrick's Day?
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful place and beautiful photos. Thanks for sharing it.
ReplyDeleteGreat photographs and a beautiful location. Thank you for sharing it with us. Rebecca Tolk
