A Relaxing Weekend with Beni [Through My Lens Nr. 333]

This weekend finally marked a time when I could relax a bit and unwind. This past week was truly exhausting. Not that much because of work, but because we had a bit of a situation with Beni. He is 13 years old and his teeth were not in good shape. I brought him to the vet and they did his blood work. Everything is in perfect order and his lungs and heart are in excellent condition. That's why they didn't hesitate to put him under in order to clean his teeth (and pull some bad ones out as well). During the procedure, he didn't respond too well to the anesthesia, his breathing was bad and heartbeats started to slow down so they had to wake him up early with adrenalin. When he woke up he was really out of it and in bad shape (fever, coughing, heavy breathing). I was very scared to be honest. But luckily he pulled through and regained his strength (though I had a sleepless night watching over him). So this weekend was all about sleeping, relaxing, enjoying the sun and getting back into our routines. Life is good again.
