A Day in Krems an der Donau in Austria [Through My Lens Nr. 408]

During my recent travel to Austria and Slovakia, I also managed to visit a few small towns in Austria. One of them was Krems an der Donau, a quaint and picturesque little town just a one hour drive north from Vienna. This historic city has a rich history of wine production, and also boasts great charm and character with its old architecture and favourable seat on the Danube. Krems an der Donau is located in Lower Austria at the eastern edge of the Wachau Valley, a region so scenic it was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Passing through the Steiner Tor you’ll be on Landstrasse, the pedestrian area of town. Beni was with me of course, and he was happy in the little streets and corners. The day was quite hot for autumn, so the shade in the main street was very much needed. I hope you will enjoy these sunny autumn images and I wish you a great start into the new week!

Thank you all for joining me in another week of "Through My Lens". I am looking forward to your submissions this week. I hope you will have a great start into the new week!

  1. Your photos show a beautiful village with perfect weather for a walk down the streets. Good that Beni could keep you company.

  2. In the shot just before the one of Beni, the guy in the maroon shirt looks like he's 7 feet tall! That has little to do with the fact that I'd love be there in person because of your excellent pictures!

  8. I was also able to visit a couple of small towns in Austria during my recent trip to Slovakia and Austria. One of these was Krems an der Donau, a charming tiny town located approximately one hour's drive north of Vienna. In addition to its long history of producing wine, this charming city offers a great deal of character and charm thanks to its historic buildings and advantageous Danube location. If you're eager to learn more about the rich history and cultural significance of small towns like Krems an der Donau, you might consider exploring online resources or even seeking out experts who offer online class help specifically tailored to delve deeper into the nuances of such historical places.
