Summer Approaching [Through My Lens Nr. 445]

Spring is slowly, but surely, starting to fade into memory, in the south of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The gentle caress of summer seems to awaken. This of course is true for the south of Croatia as well, where I visited recently. Along the sun-kissed coastline, anticipation hums in the air like a melody waiting to be sung. Beachside cafes and tavernas, long shuttered against the chill of winter, throw open their doors, inviting visitors to bask in the warmth of the sun while savoring the flavors of the Mediterranean. As the days stretch lazily into evenings, being outside is more and more inviting. And as the sun dips below the horizon, painting the sky in hues of pink and gold, the southern coast of the Adriatic Sea settles into a tranquil rhythm, where the promise of summer hangs heavy in the air, like the scent of salt on a sea breeze.
