Sunny December Weekend in Split [Through My Lens Nr. 512]

I love visiting Split in December. There is something about arriving in the morning and finding the entire city glowing under a cloudless blue sky. This weekend getaway felt like stepping into a pocket of early summer. From my room at the Radisson Blu Resort & Spa, the views stretched endlessly across the Adriatic. Below me, the marina was dotted with sailboats resting quietly in their slips, and the sea shimmered in deep shades of blue. Every time I looked out, the light shifted, from sparkling morning brightness to that soft golden hue that warms the pine trees along the shore. I wandered out onto the balcony often, just to soak in the calm. The peninsula ahead framed the horizon like a postcard, and small boats traced white lines across the water. What I loved most was the serenity: no rush, no noise, just the breeze, the sun, and that signature Adriatic stillness. A perfect reset and a perfect winter escape.
