Sunset stroll through Belgrade [Through My Lens Nr. 553]

One of my favorite moments in Belgrade was a quiet sunset stroll along the Danube in Zemun. As the day slowly began to fade, the river reflected soft shades of gold, orange, and pink, while boats moved gently across the water and people gathered along the promenade to enjoy the last light. There was something incredibly peaceful about the whole scene a welcome contrast to the livelier streets of central Belgrade. Zemun has a character of its own, with its old streets, riverside restaurants, and relaxed atmosphere that almost makes it feel like a separate little town. Walking beside the Danube as the sun disappeared behind the horizon gave me time to simply slow down and take everything in. As the sky gradually turned deeper blue and the lights along the waterfront began to come on, Zemun became even more beautiful. It was the perfect way to end the day in Belgrade, with just a long walk by the river and one last look at the sunset over the Danube.
