The past two weeks have been very tumultuous and overwhelming. After having traveled a third of the globe for my road trip across Southwest USA, I am back home now. Strangely it feels like I have never left, but also like I have missed out on so much. First off I somehow, through magic really, kept the blog alive for the past 14 days, even though I had no time at all. The "Through My Lens" post were pre-done, but the rest was shot and written on my phone during the travel.
Now the real work starts. Last night I imported all of the footage from the trip to my PC. All wonderful 120 GB of it. They resulted in 2200 images and over 5 hours of video footage, taken with the Canon camera. I don't even know where to start with the editing...I guess at the beginning. Catching up with other blogs will have to be done as well, so you can expect my visits soon. Again, thank you all for being so patient with me and visiting here over the past two weeks.
Real work is also back, as I'm in the office, trying to catch up there as well. But I don't want this post to be too negative - we had a great time in the USA. You will see it. I want to bring the experience to you as best as I can, and hopefully I can start it soon (like this Friday maybe :)
On that note, I'm back to work, all kinds of it. See you soon with the fruits of my labor.
Glad your trip was such a success. Looking forward to seeing your many captures.
ReplyDeleteDo you use an external hard drive to back-up your wonderful images? Computers break...
Of course. I back up everything. Thanks for visiting.
DeleteI like the magnets... that was a hobby of mine when travelling to foreign places. I still have them and enjoy the memories they bring. Now looking forward to more pics of your travels.
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a wonderful time. We look forward to seeing the shots you've taken!

Ging mir jedenfalls immer so.

I am so happy for you, with that trip. I can't imagine the lots of work to do for the editing alone, that's a lot of photos you got there. But in your case, as you are a professional photographer that would be a lot easier. So we are just here waiting for the posts, we are also excited with you.
ReplyDeleteMoreover, those ref magnets are heavy too, i also do that from my travels.
DeleteThe Route 66 badge caught my eye. I know what you are talking about. We have been back for a couple of weeks after spending 3 weeks in West Coast. I still haven't sorted my photos. Looking forward to seeing yours. I know they'll be super.
ReplyDelete2200 images!! Oh my, good luck with that Mersad :) Happy you had a great time, looking g forward to seeing your shots.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a great trip and made it home safely.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what you captured. I feel your pain staring down the barrel of all the editing.
