Even though its spring, we have had summer temperatures during the day in Mostar recently and with that some really enjoyable nights. While tourists have yet to swarm the place, there is definitely change in the air. I took these images (with my phone camera) in the old town of Mostar at night, while on a walk with friends. It was a bit later in the evening, so there weren't many people left in the streets, which gave some free space in the shots, which you usually can't get, because of the crowds that visit this place.
A bit more light comes from the inside of our home. We finally got a new dining room table, after the last one pretty much started cracking everywhere. Luckily we have huge balcony doors right in front of the table, so getting it inside the house was very easy. While we had some really nice (and very warm) days, it seems like this weekend the sun won't shine, as dark clouds have circled in. So why not leave the post of with a sunny image then.
I hope your weekend is off to a great start.

I have heard about Mostar. Beautiful town.
ReplyDeleteIs there an Old Bridge there?
Yes there is. The cobblestone streets in these shots lead towards it.

ReplyDeleteThose nighttime images of Mostar with the lights on the old buildings and cobblestones are lovely and make me want to sit outside in the evening's warmth. Still too chilly here to do that, but soon.... Your dining room is FULL of light and it's wonderful!
ReplyDeleteWhat a charming town. Don't fret, pretty soon the tourists, particularly the backpacking crowd, I think, would be swarming the place. How is the pricing though?
