First Days of Spring at our Mountain Cottage

When spring rolls around I really like to explore nature. With work being hectic these days, I didn't have the chance to venture out a lot. Luckily, this past weekend (which was also the start of the spring season) I made a short trip to our mountain cottage, where I got the chance to photograph the changes in nature there. Of course spring is not in full bloom yet, but I was able to find some interesting sights.

Beni was with me, of course, and he had a great time playing with Div, the lab who lives here at our friends house. Beni immediately jumped into the small creek, as he always does, going from white and clean to wet and dirty within 30 seconds. Div cooled off a bit as well, they jumped around and had lots of fun!

My parents usually spend the weekends here. Especially now when the days are longer and warmer (actually it's cold and rainy today, but I think that will pass soon). You can really enjoy sunny weekends here. The cottage is located in the ranges of mountain Prenj. Lots of clean air and plenty of space for walks and nature enjoyment.

I hope you enjoyed these early spring sights. What is the start of spring looking like in your corners of the world?

  7. You give us a beautiful look at spring at your mountain cottage. I especially like the one with the little foot bridge across the creek. Spring hasn't "popped" here yet. There are crocuses and a few daffodils, but the trees aren't flowering yet. It won't be long, though.

  8. Schöne, frische grüne Bilder. Ich kann kaum erwarten, daß schon endlich Frühling wird und auch schönes Wetter dauerhaft bleibt, da hier sehr wechselhaft ist, eher noch schlechtes Wetter.

  34. Gorgeous photos here. I love watching the arrival of Spring in the English countryside - the banks of daffodils, the magnolias starting to open and the buds coming on the trees. Later we'll get apple blossom on our apple trees and bluebells in the woods. My favourite time of year. #TheWeeklyPostcard
