Autumn Travels [Through My Lens Nr. 503]

This Sunday in Mostar feels like the turning of a page. The sky is heavy with clouds, and on the horizon a storm gathers, its dark edges announcing the official farewell to summer. From the hills, the city looks muted, bathed in a soft gray light that makes the Neretva shimmer in a deeper, moodier tone. The warmth of long days is slipping away, carried off by the wind.  And yet, I can’t help but love this moment. Autumn has arrived, my favorite season, with its cool air that makes walking and traveling so much easier. It carries a sense of movement and renewal, the perfect backdrop for new journeys. Next week, I’ll set out on one of those: a trip to Graz, Austria, a city that seems made for autumn wanderings, with its blend of history, architecture, and cafés waiting to shelter from the crisp weather.  Summer ends, but the season ahead promises roads to follow and horizons to chase.
