Welcoming Autumn on My Balcony [Through My Lens Nr. 502]

There’s something magical about the transition into fall, the air turns crisp, the days grow shorter, and suddenly I find myself reaching for candles and warm lights. This year, I wanted to bring that same autumn magic to my balcony, turning it into a little seasonal retreat right outside my home. I started with the windowsill, where I placed candles in different shapes and sizes, alongside little pumpkins. To complete the look, I scattered a few fake leaves across the surface. The glow of the candles combined with the warm orange tones of the pumpkins immediately sets the mood for cozy autumn nights.

On my balcony table, I created a simple but striking centerpiece. It’s filled with candles of varying heights, making it feel layered and inviting, with a soft, flickering light that draws you in. Surrounding them are more autumn leaves, bringing in that harvest feel without overwhelming the space.

To bring the entire balcony together, I draped the railing with a garland of fake leaves and added twinkle lights. The combination creates a warm, golden glow that outlines the whole balcony and makes it look festive both from inside and out. During the day, the pumpkins, leaves, and garlands give the space a cheerful seasonal look. But at night, when the candles are lit and the twinkle lights come alive, the balcony truly transforms. It becomes a little glowing corner where autumn feels welcomed and celebrated.

I love how these small, simple touches made such a difference. My balcony now feels like an extension of my living room, perfect for sipping tea, reading a book, or just enjoying the crisp fall evenings. Decorating for the seasons doesn’t have to be complicated, it’s about creating an atmosphere that makes you feel warm and happy. And for me, this balcony does just that.
