Mid-February in Mostar feels like a quiet conversation between winter and the coming spring. The weather shifts constantly, moving from steady rain to moments of sunlight that appear almost unexpectedly. The city changes mood with the sky, sometimes wrapped in soft gray tones and at other times glowing briefly under warm light that transforms familiar streets and stone facades. Rain has been a constant companion lately. The rhythm of the city feels softer, more reflective, as if everyone is waiting for the next break in the clouds.

During a recent drive, the sun appeared just long enough to reveal a different side of the landscape. Light spilled across the hills around Mostar and turned the river bright for a short moment. The contrast between the gray skies and sudden brightness made the scene feel almost cinematic. These brief sunny intervals seem more meaningful because they are temporary, offering a reminder that spring is slowly approaching even while winter still holds on.

By the following morning, the clouds returned and settled once again. The forecast promises more rain for the rest of the week. This time of year in Mostar is defined by contrast. Rain and light alternate without warning, creating small moments worth noticing. The city feels alive in these transitions, reminding you that beauty often appears briefly and unexpectedly, especially when you are lucky enough to catch it in between the clouds.
