I have waited for a long time to show you the finished result of my numerous shootings in the local hills and mountains around Mostar. It took me many evenings to complete this video. It shows a day as it comes to an end, and how the busy winds slow down and come to peace. It also depicts the colorful transition into the sunset, and the blue hour, when the most vibrant colors of nature show their face.

Without further ado, here is the complete new timelapse video "Going to Sleep". Enjoy!
Please make sure to view it in Full 1080p HD and Full Screen for a maximum effect.
There are a lot of details in the video, and you can watch it actually a couple of times, and notice new things. An example: can you spot the sheep in the fields during one camera pan?
Thank you all for visiting. I really hope that you have enjoyed the video, and I hope to make more for you in the future.
Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteExcellent Mersad, well worth all the effort.
ReplyDeleteDid you shoot in aperture priority or full manual?
All photos were shot in manual mode.
DeleteNo aperture flicker. Brilliant.
DeleteI don't get it now as I spent £35.00p on and old Canon manual lens. Did you get rid of it in AE? Maybe you are just better at it than I am and never had the problem. What interval did you shoot at? Come on spill the beans, I'm interested in doing a dusk till dawn video. I want the star trails next and will have to shoot and blend those separately. I have lots of cloud ones but yours are better. Breaking waves are annoying. The tide flowing up the beach would be good.
I'll get back on the job I really like time lapse.
I really have no special tricks. I think that the flicker comes in when the sky is overcast. But that is just a theory of mine. I had some flicker in my previous timelapse (on the 600th post) and I shot that one on a rainy overcast day. I do have a plug in for after effects that gets rid of the flicker, but I did not use it in this project. I mostly shot at an interval of 3 seconds.
DeleteThanks, it's good to exchange information.
Deletefantastic... those clouds are amazing, it is like slow motion video and done with hundreds of photos. i can't even imagine how much work this involves to make one beautiful video..
ReplyDeleteThe results are really what keeps you going. Thanks Sandra.
Deleteoh my, those colors!!
ReplyDeleteVery fine--- and I can certainly see LOTS of effort! Good stuff.
ReplyDeleteThank you Bill.

Deletereally lovely! beautiful red sky and blue hills!
ReplyDeleteSuperb composition, beautiful skies and colors and the perfect music as well!! Thank you so much, Mersad, for sharing! This has been a beautiful way to begin my day!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous. I love how you describe that certain time as "the blue hour." Such a beautiful settling of color and movement.
ReplyDeleteI think that is the official term, but I love it anyway. It's such a beautiful part of the day.
DeleteThat's pretty cool! I like the fact you incorparated some movement of the camera and some zoom in and out into the time lapse. It makes it a lot more interesting.
ReplyDeleteThe zooms and pans make it more interesting for the viewer. Thanks Ron!
DeletePerfekt lieber Mersad!!!

DeleteWow a fantastic piece of art. I agree with all the above comments. All the elements you used are there for sure. Not sure about my blog. I changed it and not sure folks can find me. http://acreativepieceofmymind.blogspot.com.
ReplyDeleteI got no response from FSO last week.
I did not see that your blog moved. I am following again. Stay in touch!

DeleteYour time lapse film is most impressive. I have an idea how much work this is as my wife does animation. The colors of your sunset are stunning. Keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteThat's interesting to read. Maybe you can snap some images of her animation work and post it. Would love to see it.

ReplyDeleteIs this real? Looks out of the world. I am sure it takes quite some patience to construct a time lapse video...This is superb. Will be seeing more from you.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely wonderful... Wow!
ReplyDeleteGreat work, Mersad!
Oh I watched it twice and went and read the other post. I had no idea of all the work involved, but how worth it. The sky is so dramatic, but I was very taken with the moving grasses too. Really beautiful colors.. I do hope you do more... Michelle from Nature Notes...
