The scent of pine trees, simply goes with the summer for me. I love the way nature has made them, so that they can withstand dry heat and cold winters. They provide great shade on the beach and give you lots to look at: from pine cones to the needle like leaves. I took these images on my recent vacation, and since they don't really fit with the rest of the travel series, I decided to take them out and post them seperately.
The editing is half way done, and I hope to have finished soon, but I'm not rushing, because I want them to be great. You can already see some preview images on my Facebook Page.
And maybe not everyone associates them with summer, but here in South Europe they are a very common natural landmark of the Adriatic Sea.

These are beautiful trees! I've always like pines, especially in the winter with snow on them.

DeleteAmazing plants, they survive fires but add fuel to them. I never associate them with summer though.
ReplyDeleteI'll think again.
beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLove the bright colors in your photographs!
ReplyDeleteWhat's not to like about pine trees! I even live in an area that's commonly known as the Piney Woods. It's the largest area of pine trees in Texas and even is a subject matter on Wikipedia! Beautiful shots as usual, Mersad.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds beautiful. Will look it up.
DeleteOh, yes! I do love pine trees and their wonderful scent! We have lots of them in a large park not too far from where I live! It's always a delight to walk there early in the morning!! Beautiful captures as always, Mersad! And, thanks, as always for sharing the beauty! Enjoy your weekend!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting. That park sounds lovely.
DeleteI like your pine cone images. The smell of summer? Maybe the smell of people cooking outside on their grills.
ReplyDeleteThat's a good one as well.
DeleteExcellent images. The cones are similar to ours but the needles differ. I associate them with winter though. In this area, the fragrance of fresh mown hay is indicative of summer days.

DeleteLovely, one of my favourite trees!

Tolle Fotoimpressionen lieber Mersad.
Hab ein schönes Wochenende und herzliche Grüsse
N☼va
