Mostar has been usually very quiet in the winter season. Gone are the masses of tourists, cold winds and short days take people back home. This winter there has been some change. The city has commissioned a Christmas Market, something the city has been lacking in the previous years. My sister Jasmina and I visited it last year. While it's not so grand and pompous like the Christmas Markets in the rest of Europe it does bring people together. The market features a ice skating range, food, music, shops, drinks, horses, a big blue Christmas tree, and a little Coca Cola truck. I want to show you some images of it I made, so I hope you will enjoy them.
Thank you all for visiting. Do your towns have Christmas Markets? What do they look like?
looks like a lot of fun and so festive! roanoke has a "dickens of a christmas" event and there's a parade and vendors...it's pretty fun...i think we will go this friday! here's more info http://www.downtownroanoke.org/events/signature-events/dickens-of-a-christmas
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun event! I'd love to attend something like this.
ReplyDeletethis is truly fascinating, and I love the photo of the truck. my favorite you might think is an odd choice, but I love number 8, the view inside with the tree through the window. speaks to me of holiday season
ReplyDeleteLG susa
No outdoor markets here (14 deggees F today). Looks quite festive! :)
ReplyDeleteSuper good picture of your sister, Mersad. Looks like it was chilly. As always, your night shots are really fine.

So nice pics :)
ReplyDeleteGreetings.
Beautiful, Mersad. It definitely looks like Christmas! I especially liked the first two images and the sixth.
ReplyDeleteAn indoor Christmas market? That is unusual. I took a cruise from Amsterdam to Basel in early December one year to see Christmas markets and fell in love with them. What I liked best was that they are primarily for the local people, not tourists, though travelers can blend in. My two houses have displays from many of the things bought on that trip.
ReplyDeleteWhat a really awesome post this is. Truly, one of the best posts I've ever witnessed to see in my whole life. Wow, just keep it up. World Market Link
