After our visit to the old graveyard in Radimlja it was time for lunch. We picked a newly opened place on the river Bregava. It's located on a spot where the river falls from a higher spot into the water bed below. The waterfall is very pretty and so is the restaurant. It was packed full when we arrived and would stay that way throughout our stay. The food is pretty traditional. They serve fish and a variety of meat dishes from the grill.
Part 1: Stećci in Radimlja
Part 2: Lunch at the Waterfall
Part 3: Fortress above the Town
From the road you take a stroll down the hill towards the river, and as you approach the tables you can hear the water roaring. This is also a small mill, since they have the power of the river working for them. You can actually buy flour here, that is organic and locally produced.
From the seating deck you can walk down to the river and open a small wooden door. There is not much space here but enough to stand and enjoy the waterfall. You can also easily take photos here. After lunch we walked back to the car, ready to go on with our day.
One downside of the place is that there are no parking spots so you'll have to find some place to park in the shades of the huge trees located at the side of the road.
I hope you enjoyed our lunch and the scenery. In the next, final, part we will be more active again and climb a tall hill overlooking Stolac, where you will not only see the town, but also the big fortress which looks down on it.
End of Part Two
To be continued...
