Summer Long Gone [Through My Lens Nr. 169]

Winter is not only approaching, it has arrived in full swing. Cold winds from the north have engulfed the land and summer seems like a vision from a distant past. Though I do like visiting summer destinations during wintertime. There is a certain eeriness in these locations during the cold days, a strange feeling that they don't belong in that time and space. Yet, they do call out to me sometimes. While summer is long gone, remnants from the past still remain. Exploring them gives an outlook to warmer days that will return one day, as well as a greeting to the new harsh season that has arrived.

Thank you all for joining me in another week of "Through My Lens". I am looking forward to your submissions this week. I hope you will have a good one!

  6. I agree with the eeriness of summertime locales in the winter. The vacant nature makes you wonder what happened to all the people.
