The First Cold [Through My Lens Nr. 222]

With the New Year, comes the first cold. Relatively late in terms of the winter season, but it is here now. While these images depict the last sunny day before the colds, rest assured that these mountain scenes from the nearby mountain Rujiste, are by now fully covered in snow. I have shown you Rujiste many times before on this blog. It's a popular getaway from Mostar, with only a 30 minute drive, the whole scenery starts to change. The air gets colder, fresher and cleaner. It is a spot for escaping, though with the freezing colds, it's going to be much harder. The small pond is almost frozen, as are the surroundings of a small water spring nearby. You must come prepared for this place, even though the blue skies and sunshine can lead you into a false sense of warmth and hospitality. I hope your winters are treating you kindly and that you are warm and safe.
