Visiting Rama Lake in Bosnia and Herzegovina [Through My Lens Nr. 278]

We haven't had a chance to travel for so long, so little day trips like this one the Rama Lake, are more then exciting. Rama Lake is located near the small town Prozor in Bosnia and Herzegovina.  The lake is created with a construction of the Rama dam in 1968, on the same named river, and it serves as a reservoir to store Rama's waters used by Rama hydroelectric Power Station. During our visit, a lot of the lake water was drained out, and the lake was waiting for rain to be filled up again. In the middle of the lake there is a the fascinating Scit peninsula with a Franciscan monastery. Of course, during the winter there is no greenery, no leaves on the trees, but I didn't mind it. I did however make a note to visit again in Spring. We had such a fun time, laying the the tall grass, enjoying the sunshine and relatively warm day.
