Snowfall in Western Herzegovina [Through My Lens Nr. 334]

The plains of Western Bosnia and Herzegovina are a curious place. These images were taken around the city of Livno and the Busko Lake. While driving there you get on a higher altitude and it’s common to have fresh snowfall even in late April. It’s actually a very picturesque drive up there, with many opportunities to take your camera out and snap away. The Busko Lake, shown in the images below, is the biggest man made lake in the country. There is a shoreline following it but in most places it’s unreachable. From Mostar it's a two hour drive to Livno. The region is known for its cheeses and agricultural produce. Livno, Kupres and Tomislavgrad are the main cities around Busko Lake. I hope you'll enjoy these images and I wish you a marvelous start into the new week!
