This past weekend, I had the pleasure of escaping to the vibrant city of Split for a much-needed getaway. The sun was shining brightly, painting the entire weekend with a warm and golden hue. Split, nestled along the stunning Adriatic coastline, was in full swing with the energy of the summer season. The city buzzed with life as locals and tourists alike reveled in the beauty of the sun-drenched streets and the crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea.
I spent my days strolling along the picturesque promenade, lined with palm trees and charming cafes. The mesmerizing blend of ancient history and modern culture captivated me as I explored the famous Diocletian's Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Its intricate architecture and captivating stories brought the past to life, making me feel like I had traveled back in time, though I had visited split many times.
As I bid farewell to Split once again, I couldn't help but feel a longing to return sooner rather than later. The city had rekindled my love for summer travel and the joy of exploring new places. With summer vacation booked and a short month and a half away, I can hardly wait to return to Croatia.
