A Break from the Summer Heat [Through My Lens Nr. 493]

After weeks of relentless summer heat, Mostar finally gave us a breath of fresh air. For seven glorious days, the temperature dropped, the skies softened, and the sun felt gentler, more like a companion than a challenge. For the first time in what felt like ages, I could step outside at midday without being scorched. The streets were quieter than usual, as if the whole city was enjoying the unexpected break. People lingered longer in cafes, windows were thrown open, and the breeze carried the scent of dust, grass, and stone. It was a short pause in the heart of summer, but one that felt like a gift. Now the heat is slowly creeping back, but for that one cool week, Mostar was calm, walkable, and kind.

Thank you all for joining me in another week of "Through My Lens". I am looking forward to your submissions this week. I hope you will have a great start into the new week!

  4. Glad you got a respite from the heat. Here, we've had one week of "much too hot" now and that's more than enough for me... ;-)
