A Sunset Walk With Beni [Through My Lens Nr. 509]

There’s something magical about those moments right after the rain, when the world feels freshly washed, the air smells clean, and everything seems softer and calmer. Yesterday evening gave me exactly that kind of magic. The rain had finally stopped, and as the clouds began to drift apart, the sun slipped under them in the most dramatic way. Suddenly the whole sky shifted into a blend of molten gold and soft cotton-candy pink, spilling warm light across the horizon. It was the kind of sunset that doesn’t just appear, it unfolds.

Beni and I were already out for our usual walk, his little paws splashing through leftover puddles. But with the light hitting just right, even the puddles became tiny mirrors, reflecting the sky’s colors back at us. Pink clouds danced across the water, and golden streaks stretched along the asphalt like brushstrokes from a painting. I found myself stopping every few steps, pulling out my phone to capture the reflections before they disappeared.
