I have never dreaded the darkness in life. Somehow it has always been a part of this world and approaching it and confronting with it can actually make life more beautiful. Now it's that time of year, when leaves start to turn, cold winds roll into the land and the heat of summer starts to vanish. It naturally begs the question of the dark side of things. I try to use this time of year to my advantage and find beauty in even the darkest spots.
Somehow the moody side of nature has always been more appealing to me then the sunny one, though I can appreciate the beauty of both. When I see huge cloud banks, fog and trees turning leaves, somehow I more feel the need to get my camera out. If I get the chance to get higher up and showcase that from a distance then even better.
So no matter where the road leads you in this time of year, know that the dark times can be beautiful as well, so have your camera ready and take notice of it. How do you feel about the darker side of the year?
wunderschöne Fotos. Ich mag die Landschaft und die dunklen Wolken. Sehr eindrucksvoll.

Diese dunkelen Himmelabschnitte machen die BIlder dramatisch und noch interessanter. Mir gefallen sie sehr gut.

your dark side is really beautiful and if I were there I would love it to. we have no dark side here in Florida. sub tropic is bright year round and I love that to.
ReplyDeleteI love cloudy, rainy weather so I'm just fine with the approaching change in seasons. Besides, fall brings us the colorful leaves we all enjoy.
ReplyDeleteBeauty can be seen everywhere,if we but take the time to look.
ReplyDeleteYour photo speak to my inner self so much... These sites a re absolutely sublime. HOw awesome to get to actually be there to see these in the natural... YOU are very fortunate to live around such beauty!!! THey remind me so much of the places I loved so much in Ireland when we were priveleged to visit there last year!
ReplyDeleteYeah these places are really great for a visit. The village is called Krusevljani. You can see more about it on this blog. Just type into search: Remains of the Past
DeleteI'm like you in that I enjoy the fall and the clouds as they gather bringing rain or more. I always have a camera at hand and am happy to even use my cellphone camera as it takes great photos and is easy to carry.

ReplyDeleteThanks Bill. 2nd one is my favorite as well.

I love summer, but the cloudy, stormy days are often more exciting. There's a sense of "anything can happen" in the sky and air that I find exhilarating. Great photos of uncertain, darker weather.
ReplyDeleteThanks Lorrie I really like this time of year as well.
DeleteThese are beautiful images. I especially like the second one. I welcome the change of seasons, but I'm always ready for for spring before winter is past and for fall before summer is past.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful

I get it! I prefer the somber music of Lent to the joy of Easter.
