On the second day in Neum, after a whole day of swimming (for me at least) my friends and I went for a walk in the western part of Neum. The city has build a brand new walking lane, that stretches along the shoreline. On one side you can find new houses, apartments and luxurious homes and on the other private beaches, and the crystal clear Adriatic Sea. Come join us for one final summer stroll along the seaside.
This is a two-part photo series:
A Weekend Walk through Neum - Part One
A Weekend Walk through Neum - Part Two
I love the private beaches here. We had one too in our house. There are no crowds (it was cloudy anyway, no crowds in Neum on this weekend) and you have the sea all to yourself. Yes, the beaches are stone ones here, but it doesn't really matter to me. Put some music in my ear or get a good book and I'm in heaven. But walking along this path is really great as well.
In the image above you can see a glimpse of the wild beach with sea urchins covering the water bed. Below a view of the Adriatic Sea at sunset, leading the eye away into the distance. The whole stretch of the new walking lane covers half a mile/1 kilometer and can be walked in both ways very quickly. We returned home and changed clothes, since we wanted to get some dinner.
In the image below you can see the restaurant we chose for the second night. From it you could see the whole city lit up at night. It's quite the sight. The food was alright but nothing to write home about :) We did have a great time here though, and I got the chance to take a few decent shots.
I hope you enjoyed our tour through Neum, thank you for stopping by and have a great Sunday!
The End
Immer toll wenn solche Promenade direkt an der Küste langgebaut werden. Da kann man stundenlang schlendern und entspannen. Gefällt mir sehr gut.
ReplyDeleteSchönen Sonntag noch und viele Grüsse

ReplyDeleteWonderful captures, Mersad. Favorites here are the 3rd and the 8th. I can't help wondering how you came to have such a good command of the English language, including "nothing to write home about," which is a very American expression.
ReplyDeleteI watch a lot of US movies and TV shows and read a lot in English :D
DeleteThat's very beautiful! You really know how to use the light.
ReplyDeleteAuch bei diesen grauen Lichtverhältnissen hast du beeindruckende Bilder geschafft. Liebe Grüße
