We have been hard at work in our garden at the start of this Spring season. There is a lot of remodeling and landscaping going on (which I will show you soon) and part of that journey took us to a nearby Garden Center.
It's a great place to get inspired but also receive quality advice on flowers and other plants. We had some tough decisions to make. Mostly we are in need of new pots for the flowers as well as some charming colorful plants that can survive in our garden (which is often times a challenge).
Roaming the inside portion of the Garden Center "Granum" in Capljina offers much to see. From Terra-cotta colored pots to shiny bold colored one, there is a lot to choose from. I like some of the bolder colors, though I know thay would not be harmonious in oir garden. We are mainly focused on olive green and beige ones. That way we can keep a calm look to our garden.
The outside of the Garden center is colorful and equally thrilling as the inside. Don't you find it to be very inspiring with flowers and plants when you are this close to them? I start imagining where to plant them and how to use them. Of course there is the always present fear that some of them won't make it in the garden.

I hope to be back soon with part 2 of our mountain travel series (I have had some PC problems and can't edit my images properly) but also show you what we did back home and what our garden looks like now. Of course I'm waiting for everything to grow somewhat in order to have something to show you.
Oh, lovely spring time!
ReplyDeleteYeah It sure is!
DeleteWonderful thing to do... I love it to... the one sad thing is that it always costs a lot of money, which I never have so I have to choose wisely ;-)
ReplyDeleteHave a nice ABC-day / -week

Yeah it does take up a lot of time/money. We like to do it in stages.
Deletecan't wait to see what you chose.. your garden is always wonderful and I like calm gardens also.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sandra I hope we can do it justice to previous years.
DeleteThe images from the garden center are beautiful. I look forward to seeing your garden when the work is done. So sorry to hear about the computer issues. Never fun.
ReplyDeleteThankfully I had them fixed yesterday, everything is working now and I have new photos coming up tomorrow.
DeleteWe did our landscape planting many years ago, and I've learned that I would never again make some of the same choices... Things that grow too big, things that require too much maintenance---- Ah, but it's the planting that's fun.
ReplyDeleteIt's so hard to get everything right, since you never know how certain flowers will behave in your garden. I hope we make it this year.
DeleteWhat plethora of beautiful plants such colour and shapes,
ReplyDeleteA good choice of pots too !
You'll have a fine time planting and organising them in your patio
space, you've given me some ideas for mine.
I've had geraniums in pots before but eventually potted them out
and they are lovely. I think keeping them in pots somehow strengthens
the roots then they flourish when planted out.
Looking forward to seeing the finished result.
Sublime photographs yet again.
Best wishes,
Di.
ABCW team.
We have planted everything so far, but we are waiting for it to grow (hopefully) so that I have something to show you soon. Thank you for visiting.

ReplyDeleteIt's always fun to visit garden centers and start planting when the weather gets warmer. - Very enjoyable post here.
ReplyDeleteYour post has all gone to pot. OK, not really. Pretty.

There is a lot of labour involved but it will be worth it in the long run! Hope to one day see the finished product - your garden with all its lovely plants and flowers!
