Frozen Lake [Through My Lens Nr. 186]

This came as a surprise. During a recent road trip through western Bosnia and Herzegovina, Selma and I went to the Kukavicko lake, which I have shown you previously on this blog during fall. But what I did not expect was a frozen winter scenario. It came as a surprise because most of the country is in full bloom, with green trees all around. But since this lake is so high up in the mountains it will take quite some tome for spring to catch up here. So the frozen sights on the lake were really amazing and stunning. As you can see there is a lot of snow still hanging about. There is a nice walking path around the lake and below you can see some images from there as well. I hope its not too icy in your corners of the world!

Thank you all for joining me in another week of "Through My Lens". I am looking forward to your submissions this week. I hope you will have a good one!

  6. The same happens here due to our high elevation! It takes spring a long time to arrive.

  9. We are heading into autumn down under but it never gets icy in Auckland. Great photos of the grass starting to get green while ice is still on the lake.

  10. What lovely reminders of the season's change with one foot in spring and the other clinging to the end of winter.
