I just wanted to give an update on my Southwest USA road trip so far. After a big start in Las Vegas, the journey took us to our first national park this year: the Valley of Fire State Park with its red rock formations and desert vibes. After leaving Nevada behind, and crossing through Arizona, our road trip took us to the south of Utah, and the famous Zion National Park. The drive, on a late October afternoon, proved to be a sight for sore eyes. Vibrant colors seep into every facet of the surroundings: from red rocks, green trees and cacti all the way to the blue sky above. With so much yet ahead of us, this road trip promises to be a delight every step of the way. Then in Arizona, the road trip continued: On this stretch of the journey I visited Horseshoe Bend and the spectacular Monument Valley. Here, time and life stands still and looking inward becomes important just as the vastness of the outside.
