As it turnes out, this past weekend trip to Split wasn’t just any family weekend, it was my mom’s 70th birthday, and that gave everything a slightly more meaningful tone. The whole idea was simple: gather, slow down, and celebrate properly, without rushing through it. Somewhere between Znjan’s sun-soaked hours and the old town walks in Split, we decided to add one more layer to the weekend and drove out to Trogir for an evening. There’s something about arriving there at dusk that instantly shifts the mood. The old town, sitting on its little island, feels almost suspended in time, stone bridges leading you in, narrow alleys pulling you deeper, and that warm glow of lights reflecting off the sea around it.
We wandered through the old streets without much of a plan, letting the place reveal itself corner by corner. The kids turned it into another adventure, while we took it in more slowly, the worn stone underfoot, the quiet squares opening up unexpectedly, the sense of history that feels a bit more intimate than Split’s. Dinner came naturally after that, one of those relaxed, celebratory meals where conversation flows easily and no one’s in a hurry to leave. Sitting there together, with the marina lights in the background and the soft evening air, it felt like the perfect way to mark the occasion. Not overly planned, not overly formal, just family, a beautiful place, and a moment that landed exactly how it should.

ReplyDeleteBe cautious there are scam companies out there presenting fake platforms and false investment opportunities. I unfortunately fell victim to one and lost over $740,450. It was a devastating experience.
ReplyDeleteThankfully, I reached out to Lex Recoup Solutions for guidance. They took my situation seriously and worked quickly to help me recover my funds from the scammers. Their support made all the difference. I got my money back just last week.
