Sunny Hills of South Europe

Even though this past work week was filled with undecided weather, it started to stabilize towards the weekend. These regions are known for hot summers and mild winters, and I wanted to show that symbolic climate in these golden sunny hills, not far from Mostar.

The Mediterranean climate makes it the warmest city in Bosnia and Herzegovina with mostly sunny days and clear blue skies. The Neretva turns the dry arid surroundings green with figs, kiwis, grapes, pome granites, rose hips, and even mandarins and lemons.

If you have images of weather from your town or city link them up on the Friday My Town Shoot Out Blog.  Also linking to Skywatch Friday. and ABC Wednesday M is for Mediterranean climate.

What climate/weather is your city known for?

    1. Thanks. That is a local road, that leads to a main street which runs through the hills.

  13. Your images convey a nice sense of the heat here.

Naples, Florida, where I live in the winter, is known for wonderfully comfortable winter weather when much of the northern USA and northern Europe is cold. In the summer, Naples is quite hot and humid, relieved only in the late afternoon by thunderstorms.

    1. I know from Sandra, that the winters are almost non existent in Florida. I don't know if I would like the humidity, but I guess you get used to it, by living there for long. But I think (actually I know from your photographs), that those weather conditions make for wonderful imagery.
