Driving down the M-17 route through the canyon of the river Neretva is very scenic and I have shown it here on the blog two times before. Once a northern stretch of the road, the other time a bit more towards south. This part of the road I haven't shown before. It's a bit more central and goes towards the town of Jablanica. Not only is nature beautiful here, but you will also come across many restaurants that overlook the river.
The road winds down on both sides of the river. A couple of miles before Jablanica, a bridge takes you over the river Neretva and you are emerged into the rocky cliffs of the surrounding canyon.
A few restaurants can be found here before you arrive into town. They have very quiet locations even though being right next to the road. This first one where we stopped is actually overlooking a small lake. I took some shots of the parked cars, tables and private paths that lead around the restaurant.
Eventually you end up in Jablanica. I showed this small town to you before on the blog. You can find those images by clicking here.
I hope you enjoyed this little road trip with me and the sights I captured.
Oh yes, and I think you showed this restaurant too....but I love the nature and this place. Must be fantastic to sit there for lunch. A really beautiful place.
