Dawn in the Forest

I find the woods to be a relaxing place, and I know that a lot of people share that feeling. The sounds of a forest can take you away, connect you to something primal and return you safely to the familiar. But why do we yearn for the forest? What is it about the trees and life inside of it that makes us go back to it? Symbolicly speaking it's about roots.

We connect to nature, because we are part of it. In some interesting way, we find ourselves reflected in nature. Cycles of life, carried out for centuries, going on, trying to sustain and survive. It's pretty ironic then, when some people try to destroy it. They truly are destroying parts of themselves.

  7. Robert Frost was correct and must have had an image like this in mind, "the woods are lovely, dark and deep."

  10. Yes, there is something mysterious about woods, especially the one shown in your first picture. One of the joys I have is following an unknown path winding through the trees, not knowing what is round the next bend or the next broad tree.

  14. I think it is the quiet peacefulness that you find in the forest or woods with perhaps a flowing stream of water. Not only do we appreciate nature more there but we also think of our maker.
