Summer in Mostar is always a special affair. You have the typical summer, when the days are warm but night cool down, then there is the other side. That side is usually more prevalent. The day starts out hot, becomes hotter and when the night rolls around there is no fresh air to breathe in. Right now we are experiencing the latter, after the heat had previously subsided. I took these shots from the rooftop of a 9-story building, which overlooks the recently finished new building called "Mljekara" (translated in means milk factory, there was one here before). The traffic circle with the trees surrounding it, make for a wonderful look of this new development in the city. Luckily it wasn0t too warm when I took my camera out to make these shots. Up here the wind was blowing a bit and gave some false sense of coolness in the city. The sun was just starting to set over Mostar as I took these. Enjoy the views.
How is the summer season treating you?
Thanks for sharing these photographs, totally loved it.

So interesting to see your town. Here in Maryland, US it is very hot! Hottest temps of the year so far.
ReplyDeleteWhat are the circles on the pavement near the parked cars?
They are manhole covers. But don't ask me why there are so many of then at that one spot. :)
DeleteInteresting glimpse into another part of the world! Thank you.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos and I love the little red car that shows up in most of them. Beautiful views.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't mind some of that heat here in Brussels. :-) btw. there were some fires around Mostar these days? everything under control?
ReplyDeleteYes Klara, the fires are under control here. Thanks for asking.
DeleteWhen that happens in the UK I would find it most unpleasant. I love daytime heat but, like most people, I like a cool night-time. In New Zealand the norm was for air conditioning so the hot night problem was solved by a quick blast of cool air before bedtime.
ReplyDeleteOh so beautiful. I am very intrigued with Mostar. I saw a tour that has Mostar in in the itinerary.
