Abandoned Building in Mostar [Through My Lens Nr. 180]

Every town or city has these places. Mostar maybe more so then others. Abandoned and worn down spots. But there is beauty here as well. Maybe it's the nature that takes over, or the remains that somehow lead you to question life lived there. Anyway, they are interesting spots, that make you linger. There's something simultaneously eerie and beautiful about abandoned places. You almost feel voyeuristic in a sense, like you're witnessing a very intimate piece of someone else's life. Though abandoned buildings (and towns) can often turn decrepit, the following spot (albeit somewhat weathered over time), made me stop during a recent walk and take these photos. I hope you will enjoy them.

Thank you all for joining me in another week of "Through My Lens". I am looking forward to your submissions this week. I hope you will have a good one!

  6. I am strangely attracted to derelict buildings. They make me wonder how they fell into such a state of disrepair.
