I know I'm a bit late with decorating the house for the season that is in full swing by now, but with learning for the state law exam, which I passed recently, there just wasn't much time. I'm now catching up with all of these chores, and in this post I wanted to show you my tree, which is much different then the one we did last year.

This is the finished result of my work, but let's take a few steps back.
I chose a tree that had different shades of green as well as some white snow tips. It gives a really great texture and richness.
I chose red and gold, the classical color combination, white lights, and these pine cones that you can attach with wires to the tree.
This is the look of the decorated tree at day.
Next are two shots from the night.
How is the spirit of the season reflected in your home?
Your tree and decorations are perfect!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty in red, gold and white. And I like the reflection of the tree in the window - your first photo.
ReplyDeleteThis looks great. I don't decorate the van or really celebrate Christmas at all. I am working New Years Eve so I'll miss that as well.
ReplyDeleteI am a fan of the detail images. Christmas takes center stage at our home and I have been posting images for a couple of weeks now. Have a blessed day.
ReplyDeleteSCINTILLATING DECORATIONS! BEST WISHES FOR CHRISTMAS !!!
ReplyDeleteI always have a real tree and it is covered in glass and silver and white lights... it is very twinkly

ReplyDeletemy tree is not so pretty in the daylight, just at night. yours is beautiful both night and day and perfect for your living room. i went back to last year and remembered it after viewing again. I loved it last year and your home this year. you have a gift for decorating.
ReplyDeleteI have gone for gold this year. Yours looks great.
ReplyDeleteThat's a very pretty tree. I haven't done any decorating yet!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on passing your state law exam! Your tree is lovely and from where it stands in the corner windows, I imagine it's beautiful from the outside of your home, too.
ReplyDeleteOh, yes!! Congratulation on passing your law exam!! A great way to begin the holiday season!! I do love your tree and the decorations are perfect!! Looks and sounds as though it will be a beautiful holiday season for you and your family, Mersad!!
ReplyDeleteYour decorations are perfect for the season. I don't to see any of them until after Thanksgiving (late November). Of course you have an excellent color sense. You are a photographer. Good choices.

You've decorated your home beautifully, Mersad. Simple elegance, my kind of perfect.
ReplyDeleteThe tree is as elegant as your home, Mersad. Delightful.
ReplyDeleteEverything is so clean and elegant in your home. Lovely. The green vessel on the table reminds me of America's BLENKO Glass.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful seasonal decorations - quite festive and lovely!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing at http://www.image-in-ing.blogspot.com/2014/12/cats-eye-variations.html
your tree is beautiful Mersad!
ReplyDeleteI haven't yet decorated mine.
greetings, Hilde
Your post is very tastefully done. I like the way you describe your preparation for Christmas.
ReplyDeleteAs I celebrated my eighty- first birthday last week, I still have a room with many flowers, so I had no time to do some Christmasdecorations. This week and next week we sing Christmas Carols.
Have a great and merry X- mas!
Wil, ABCW Team
I wish you a late Happy Birthday!
DeleteI like how the tree complements the decor.
ReplyDeleteEin sehr schöner Weihnachtsbaum Mersad! Dieses Jahr haben wir auch grün und rot im Baum...I love it! GlG Anne
ReplyDeleteDanke Anne. Freut mich das es dir gefällt.
DeleteGreat photos of the Christmas decor. I love your apartment too. For my Christmas decor I also chose baubles in gold and red with some hints of silver and mother of pearl. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas.
ReplyDeleteThank you. That's a really great color combination.
DeleteLove that close up (5th shot) and congrats on passing the exam!
ReplyDeleteYour tree is quite tastefully decorated. I have a simple artificial tree with colored lights in the corner of my family room.
ReplyDeleteMy tree is also artificial. I wouldn't want to cut down a real tree, just to decorate my home.
DeleteMersad, Such lovely images of your beautiful home. I'm sending you my warmest Christmas greetings. Tom The Backroads Traveller
ReplyDeleteWow, well decorated home and tree. Merry Christmas!!!
