I hope everyone came into 2015 with a great celebration, weather it was big and festive, or quiet and reflective. Here are my friend Selma's dog Brownie and my dog Beni, who also send season's greetings (yes, we are that kind of dog people). Getting the first shot took some time, but I think it turned out good.
As I'm writing this I'm looking out at the Adriatic Sea off the coasts in Split, Croatia. I spent New Year's Eve here, and will be staying for two more days. After our dog images, I will show you some sneak peek shots from our travel that I took with my phone camera. Of course the Canon camera is not far away, and you can expect a nice travel series soon, after I return.

Here are some shots from Split that I took with my phone camera:
A view out on the sea from our hotel as the sun sets on the last day of 2014.
A shot from my room in the Radison Blu Resort in Split.
Me and my sister Jasmina, a couple of minutes into 2015.
A new day rises in a New Year.
On the balcony of the hotel after breakfast.
A view from the hotel room balcony. Interesting clouds got me to take my camera out. Looks like a bird flying through the air.
I wish you all the best in the New Year!

Happy New Year, Mersad! What a beautiful place to welcome the turning of the year. Such clear skies and smooth water. Delightful! Things will be slow around here today as we were up very late last night.
ReplyDeleteOh that "sit/stay" command can do wonders for photo ops. Clearly your dogs are well behaved as well as beautiful. I too am that kind of dog person as you know from reading about my Izzi. What a wonderful beginning for your new year. You are blessed with the opportunities to travel to many beautiful places and this one is right up there. I was going to comment on the flying bird cloud (actually all of the clouds were magnificent), but you beat me to it. It's the artistic eye that catches those things and makes life that much more interesting and beautiful. My wish for you is a wonderful photogenic year and look forward to your sharing your experiences with us. Happy New Year, Mersad ...

Thank you so much Andrea. I don't want to burst your bubble about the behaviour of our dogs, but I have to confess it took some time and tries to get that first shot. :) The second one with Brownie laying under the covers was much more easier to obtain. So glad you enjoyed them, though.
DeleteI enjoyed these a lot! It really does look like a great place to visit. And again--Happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteIt looks so warm there while here I sit with it 4 degrees outside. Well actually, it will probably be 18 degrees F. today. Have a wonderful time.
ReplyDeleteTolle Fotos, wie immer, und der zugedeckte Hund ist sehr süß.
ReplyDeleteHappy new year!!! Alles Gute fürs neue Jahr!!!
Liebe Grüße
It looks so summery there- and here I sit with freezing rain outside my window...bleckkk! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous place to spend the New Year. The view was fabulous. You all look great and the dogs are adorable as can be. I too thought that cloud looked like a bird flying. Super cool. Looking forward to another great year viewing your blog and photos.
ReplyDeleteHow cute can they get, those dogs are just darlings. Great shot!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous places, all, the bird-clouds tops it all!

Great set of shots! The clouds in the bottom one are amazing and remind me of some I've watched in Patagonia. Happy 2015.

ReplyDeleteEin gesundes neues Jahr 2015 wünscht Senna!
Cute doggie couple! I'm wondering are those windows or solar reflections from the roof of your hotel? The colors in the photos are so unworldly... {:-Deb
ReplyDeleteIt's always good to see different aspects from places I haven't been to. Fascinating cloud formation too.
