It has been a long time in the making, but after months of planing, organizing and saving up, our next travel destination is waiting for us. I'm headed with my friends to the USA. Our trip starts tomorrow, as we are headed for Belgrade to catch our first flight (of two) to get to Los Angeles. Our plan is to do a road trip across the Pacific Highway in California from Los Angeles to San Francisco, then visit Yosemite National Park, head over to Las Vegas and also make a stop at the south side of the Grand Canyon and then return to Los Angeles.
It's a fairly big trip that will last over two weeks with travel, so I had to make this little announcement to let everyone know that you won't be seeing me visit you that much. I have some prepared posts that are scheduled to be posted on the blog so I won't be completely gone. "Through My Lens" will be up on Monday as planned, so you will be able to link in.
I hope to do a couple of "On Location" posts, like I did last time, during our visit to Prague, so be on the lookout for that as well. But mostly, I hope to have a great time in the United States and see a lot and while I did visit 10 years ago, this will be a whole new experience for me. The Canon is locked and ready as well and you can expect a fairly big travel series once I return. So wish us luck and I hope to check in with you soon.

ReplyDeleteMake sure (if driving) to take Highway 101 up to San Francisco as Interstate 5 can be soooo boring. If you take 101 you will pass a couple cities I lived in (Camarillo and Ventura) although the highlight city on this route would be Santa Barbara. Lots of nice little beach towns along this route further north, too. Have fun!!

Yes, and when I've been through Las Vegas a number of times over several years, the extra stuff is very high. Even just driving through it definitely grabs my eyes. I rarely hang out there, but going through is a challenge.
