Isolation [Through My Lens Nr. 232]

Who would have guessed that there could be so much unity in seperation. It feels like the world is in a uproar, and with no end in sight, there might be even more to come. I feel like this crazy period can be used for calming reflection, learning lessons and searching for answers within. While isolation feels strange, it can actually be very familiar and a return to form. Reflection is an important part of our existance as is action.

Currently, it's important to know that there is no need to panic, no need for grabbing, stocking up. Life will resume again, like it always does. Take what you need, leave the rest for others. Take care of yourselves, stay clean and well meaning. Everything will come through in the end. It's life. Everything works out in the end. Like it always does.

Please let me know what the viral pandemic looks like in your corners of the world. Bosnia and Herzegovina is relatively safe. Only 23 cases, mostly in the north of the country.

Now I want to see what you have been up to. Link down below and share with the rest of us!

  1. Amazing view, loved all shots.

Coronavirus cases rise to 112 in India.
I'm in Assam (North Eastern state of India)
Hope all well soon. Stay safe.

  2. Getting a bit scary here--- heavy rules about gatherings, closing bars and restaurants except for takeout and delivery. Stupid people hoarding. Generally speaking, younger people are still laughing it off. Older at-risk folks like us are staying home as much as possible. Take care of yourselves, Mersad and Jasmina.

    1. Yes, younger people are laughing it off. That's not good. There is a curfew out here for people under 18 and over 65. You and Laura stay safe and inside while this passes.

  3. We’re in that “most vulnerable” age demographic, so are avoiding crowds . We’re in Florida now and there have been two deaths in the city where we are. We’re keeping in close touch with family in Oregon/Washington. They’re fine, I Know you have family there as well and hope they are too.

    1. My family is safe. I have a grandma further north, she lives alone, but we take care of her during this time, but no contacts. My mom is over 60, so she's in the house as well. My sister and I do go out for work, but shortened and we are not meeting clients or going to court (we are attorneys)

  4. Good to know you are safe. We are also. There are eight official cases in our state, but I suspect the number is much higher as testing is not widely available. Thank you for hosting this site as it gives us all an outlet to enjoy each others photography. No panic here, but everyone is staying home using common sense.

    1. Thank you for visiting and sharing the "calm" as well. Yes, testing is very important and one of the best ways to ensure that the virus doesn't spread. I hope testing kits will become available soon for everybody. They are a problem here as well.

  6. We are not managing it well at all (because we're morons). I'm happy to be locked in and let it (the virus) die out but our dumb govt is letting it well and truly take hold before it does...because the economy, blah, blah. Take care!

    1. It's really important to stay inside. So many people are not taking it seriously. There is no need for panic obviously, but reason and caution will take us through this much quicker.

  9. Positive posts like yours are a blessing in this time, as well as enjoying your lovely photography. They tell me I'm a Senior Citizen and need to stay inside. I had already been doing that before everything in Ohio shutting. Hoping we don't have to have a complete lockdown here with restrictions like Italy. Many prayers for countries that have been bombarded by this. Stay well, and thanks for hosting.

    1. I'm glad my post could help a bit. Lockdown can be scary, but it's a safety measure we have to comply with. Italy is in complete shutdown mode, and because of the proximity of my country to it (Bosnia and Herzegovina) we have had 83 confirmed cases this week. We are pretty much at home right now.
