You may remember our visit to the Solaris Beach Resort in Sibenik. If not, click here to view it. Inside the pine woods that surround the resort, there is a small village. The houses are build in an old fashioned style, and in between them you can find a restaurant.
But what was more fascinating to me is the attention to details that has been payed, especially in making everything around it look rustic and inviting. It's almost like out of a fairy tale.

The restaurant inside grows their own vegetables in the garden outside.
The outside is barely lit, but the little lights here and there create an intriguing atmosphere.
I love the gate entrance in between the two houses.
Later on, while we returned home, I took some more images of the little village in the night.
I hope your weekend is going well and thanks for visiting.
almost everything is stone.. amazing and i love the lighting. even the roof looks like stone, although i think it is tile... so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThis would be my fantasy spot . I love the whole look and the charm.
ReplyDeleteOf course your photography of it is magnificent.
Thank you for sharing Mersad..

ReplyDeleteWhat a "picture book, fairyland" world, Mersad!!! I love it!! Such beautiful stonework indeed!! Your captures are superb, as always!! Have a lovely weekend!! Thanks, as always, for sharing the beauty and wonders of your world!!
ReplyDeleteSOOO charming! Love the stonework so much! Love the way it is lit with lanterns. Thatsecond shot is my favorite!
ReplyDeleteOh, by the way, wish we'd ridden the train, too. I'm going to have to set something up for us in the future. We took a train to the Grand Canyon two years ago and it was great fun, with cowboy singers entertaining us, and a mock train robbery by horse-riders who boarded and played the part. It was awesome! But it wasn't steam locomotive. Gotta do that!
Gosh you're not wrong Mersad, the village really does look like a magical place.. of course your gorgeous images really enhance the scene :)
ReplyDeleteI must learn from you. You get away with low light photography. I have to use multiple strobes fired off the wizard which doesn't make for a relaxing evening out. I also have to shoot fast or from a tripod and slowly to get background bits. Often I think less is better.
ReplyDeleteAs you posted you photographs it looks like a fairy-tale village. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteIch finde es total schön, daß alles in diesem traditionellen Baustil gemacht wurde. Dort würde ich meinen Urlaub hundertmal schöner genießen können, als in einem großen Hotel. Liebe Grüße
ReplyDeleteWhat a charming place. You really get some fabulous night shots. The lighting and ambiance are simply divine.
ReplyDeleteyou are the light master! love these!! have a great weekend :)
