When you think about it, lines have a lot to do with photography. They can focus an image, they can create an interesting perspective, but also they can help in framing an image. Like in the first image in this post, the lines of the window that are in focus, anchor the whole image and let the clouds that are moving by in a blur, be what they are. In fact, that small portion of focused window, allows the whole rest of the image to be blurry, which otherwise wouldn't work.

Lines in a self portrait.
Happy start into the weekend, everyone!
I like that frame idea and fantastic self portrait in the blinds.
ReplyDeleteVery cool selfie!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sarah.
DeleteVery creative...love the self portrait....
ReplyDeleteGlad you stopped by.
DeleteLove your perspective! I paint, and as a painter I have always been aware of lines leading in to a focal point, lines bringing an image to the infinite horizon, and lines "framing" a picture. I tend to have a good eye for a shot in photography because of it, but seldom produce a photograph I am proud of! :-) I should probably stick to painting.
ReplyDeleteFraming does help a lot, especially if you find a way for the lines to lead the eye of the viewer.
Deletei like the first shot. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Theresa.
Deletelike the selfie in the blinds! quirky!
ReplyDeletewish you a great weekend~
Thanks Betty
DeleteI like that first photo a lot. Nicely done!

DeleteThere are all wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteI especially like the first shot.
ReplyDeleteExcellent photos Mersad! The reflection with the lines is cool. You should link this post to Weekend Reflections. http://weekendreflection.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteI forgot to post this in time, but will make sure to have something ready for next week.
DeleteThe window shot is most interesting, and I like the clever self-portrait. Are you left-eyed? I always use my left eye in the viewfinder, but my hubby tells me I'm doing it wrong. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm right-eyed. Most of the time, when I take shots.
DeleteMersad, every picture is beautiful but the first one is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Kaya.
Deletei love that first shot! and hi to you in the 3rd!!
ReplyDeleteHi back! :D
DeleteClever idea with the self portrait. I love the saturated colours in the first one.
ReplyDeleteThanks Barb.
DeleteThe color in the first photo is the icing on the cake. I love lines, but I do love color!
ReplyDeleteThat last picture is brilliant, Mersad, and I like the first one a lot.

DeleteGreat shots, I really like the self portrait.
ReplyDeleteIt was spontaneous! :D
DeleteHI Mersad great post and very interesting photography.
ReplyDeleteI like the "difference" of the first shot, that wouldn't be an easy shot to make work. Love the different selfie, too.
ReplyDeleteAnd even I didn't pull it off completely. :)
DeleteUn idée parfois simple rend de beaux clichés, belle photo!
ReplyDeleteTrès bon dimanche ensoleillé de chez moi, Cath.
What fun images. :) Yes, lines, perspective, depth perception that lines create. Photography is such fun, isn't it! Very nice images.
ReplyDeleteThanks Lois.
DeleteLove the images and especially the final self-portrait! A little bit different:)
ReplyDeleteGreat job Mersad, always an interesting interpretation.
ReplyDeleteThanks Peggy.
DeleteLove the last one -- nice to see your reflection Mersad. xo
ReplyDeleteThanks! Glad you liked it :)
DeleteMersad, good morning. nice photo, through windows is always a favorite of mine. like shots of the Vatican through one of the arrow slots of the Castle Sant'angelo in Rome. The idea of what 'they' saw always spurs me to take the shot.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by and commenting Ginger.
